A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was trying to flee the scene of the fatal stabbing of his father and mother when officers arrived at the family's Sydney home this morning, police say.
Police were called to a house in Bernadette Place at Baulkham Hills, in Sydney's north-west, shortly after 7am (AEDT) today.
The triple-0 call was made by a 50-year-old-woman, believed to be the boy's mother or stepmother, who alerted ambulance officers that a 57-year-old man had been stabbed, police said.
After making the call, the woman was also attacked, suffering stab wounds to her abdomen and back.
When police arrived on the scene, the man, confirmed as the boy's father, was found dead.
