Revealed: the rapist's picture a judge didn't want you to see
(Belfast) This is the image of dangerous sex offender Mark Clarke that the public was banned from seeing.
As Clarke was returned to the punishment block of Maghaberry Prison after going on the run last week a High Court judge overturned a ruling preventing this picture of the rapist, out and about on the streets of Belfast, being published.
The Belfast Telegraph's sister paper the Sunday Life has been fighting an injunction banning the publication of photographs of Clarke and other notorious life sentenced rapists and murderers on day release.
After serial offender Clarke - who is serving a life sentence for kidnap and rape - went on the run last week High Court judge Mr Justice Stephens agreed that his image could now be published.
