WILKES-BARRE -- Wilkes-Barre police arrested a 28-year-old woman on charges that she assaulted a 2-year-old boy on July 17 and 18.
Tamika Nicole Harley, of Woodside Drive, Wilkes-Barre, was charged with endangering the welfare of children, aggravated assault and simple assault in connection to the abuse that took place at her house.
Police allege Harley pushed the child into a table after he urinated on the floor inside her home on July 17. Harley allegedly pushed the child again on July 18 and scratched the child’s face.
Police were notified by Wilkes-Barre General Hospital staff of suspected child abuse on July 18. The boy was transferred to Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia where the boy was treated for head injuries, a broken rib and facial injuries, according to police.
Harley was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on $10,000 straight.http://www.timesleader.com/news/Police_Woman_assaulted_2-year-old_causing_head_injuries.html

... Was this kid even her own? Nezzy takes off her diapers all the time, and has had a few accidents on the way to the potty we have for her... but seriously... its just piss. It cleans up.

Okay, a few weeks back my three year old had an accident, he pissed on the kitchen floor...his dad and I, you guessed it laughed! (mainly because my son kept telling us "oh no, mess". I really do not understand these adults who think that beating a child will teach them to use the potty/not have accidents/stop crying ect will work.

I don't get it either. I can understand being a little bit frustrated, but you piss moan and grumble while you're cleaning it up. It's not that big of a deal, and certainly not a big enough deal to beat your kid or throw them into furniture.

If you can't handle a little piss/shit or vomit, then you shouldn't be having kids at all.

Some people need to use their heads for something other than a hatrack. Get a little creative.
From about 1 year old until he was trained I had to put my son's diapers on him backwards and tight as I could get them. First because it was almost impossible to keep him on his back long enough to stick the tape down. And second because the minute I turned my head he took it off either by unsticking the tape or just stepping out of it if it wasn't tight enough. But I never thought beating him would help.
People you have to be smarter than a 1 year old and some people just aren't. :hello:

What a cruel bitch. When my 15 year old was 3, he would sleep walk. One night he got up, walked straight to the back door, and peed. He was completely asleep. While my hubby cleaned the mess, I changed my child into clean & dry clothes and put him back in his bed.

Damn, now according to Tamika's Parenting Guide, I handled it all wrong. Geesh.:dong:
