A 7-year-old foster child was abducted on his way to school in southern California, and police are appealing to the public for help in finding him.
Eduardo Rivera was waiting for his school bus in Riverside on Friday when two Hispanic men snatched him, put him into a car waiting nearby and drove off, Riverside police Lt. Brian Baitx told MyFOXLA.com.
Officers later located the abandoned vehicle after witnesses to the kidnapping called in a description.
"Police ... learned that the victim and suspects transferred to a second vehicle ... identified as a newer Cadillac Escalade with possible out-of- state plates," Baitx told the station.
A third man was at the wheel of the getaway car. No description was released of any of the three suspects.
An all-points bulletin was put out on the Escalade, MyFOXLA.com reported.
Eduardo is a foster child whose mother is in jail, Baitx said. He is described as 3'6" tall and 65 pounds, with brown eyes and hair.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Riverside police at (951) 353-7137.

What a sweet looking boy. I'll certainly be on the look out for tan or gold Escalde since TX is noted as a possible destination.
I hope they find little Eduardo alive and well.

Update: Found Safe
Riverside police said a 7-year-old boy who was kidnapped while waiting for a school bus has been found safe in Las Vegas.
A police statement said Eduardo Rivera was located at a home in Las Vegas at about 6 a.m. Saturday and was taken into protective custody.
Witnesses said two men grabbed Eduardo and pulled him into a waiting car Friday as he waited at a corner for a school bus with other children.
The boy was in a foster home because both his parents are in jail. After his abduction, authorities questioned them but there's no word on a motive for the kidnapping.

RIVERSIDE -- Federal law enforcement officers are assisting police in two states to in the investigation of the abduction of a foster child.
7-year-old Eduardo Rivera, whose parents are locked up on identity theft and immigration
charges, was snatched by a team of kidnappers Friday morning as he was walking to school in Riverside.
Two men were arrested in Las Vegas, where the boy was found safe yesterday. Authorities have not yet released their identities, or what their motives might have been. Police would say only that they knew the boy.
The boy has been a ward of the county since at least October. The kidnappers quickly
transferred Eduardo from one vehicle to another and eventually drove him to Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Metro Police, acting on a tip from Riverside, started watching a Toyota van
in the parking lot of a casino in Laughlin.
Officers followed the van to Las Vegas, where they made a traffic stop. "We decided it was time to call this thing off and we initiated a stop," Las Vegas police Sgt. Dave Stansbury said.
Eduardo was not in the van, but the men inside it gave police the address of a home in east Las Vegas. Police raided the home at 5:00AM and found the boy asleep. Several other children and a woman were also found there.
"The woman who was found at the house was questioned by detectives, and based on our interview with her, we believe she had no part in the abduction, so she was not arrested," Stansbury said. "The other children who were at the house were there with their mother -- the woman we questioned -- and they are all still there at the house."
The men arrested are expected to face federal charges in Riverside County.
Eduardo's parents, who are from Puerto Rico, are in jail in Santa Ana and in San Bernardino. The boy will be returned to a foster home in Riverside.
