My son was bugging the hell out of me to get this poll up, so here it is. What are the top 10 fantasy books. I am going to go ahead and say that listing a series is fine as, well, you know...a lot of the good fantasy books are in a series. But just list the first book. We'll get the picture.
So, like every poll, choose 10 and only 10. If you do not see something in the list you would like to vote for, use the Write In function and add it. If you would like to vote for something that was added after you already voted, simply use the Change Your Vote function. Easy as pie.

Dude, you better change your vote and include the Discworld series and the Dragonlance Trilogy. Blasphemy. I'll forgive you for not voting for The Wheel of Time and Song of Ice and Fire, but only if you haven't read them. If not... the Song of Ice and Fire should make it to our book club at some point. I'll read it again gladly.

I gladly changed my vote to include DragonRiders of Pern and Discworld, but I have not read the Dragonlance Trilogy, nor have I read Song of Ice and Fire.

Are you sure you haven't read the DragonLance trilogy? It is the book with the twins in it. You know, Raistlin, the dark wizard and his brawny brother? C'mon, this is THE D&D series that started it all.

Errr...why would you recommend Eragon and the likes? Fuck I hate them. I understand that he was young when he began to write the first book but damn...what a poorly written book it was (little if any description on events, little information on the history of the realm). Taking elements from other fantasy books (namely LOTR and Harry Potter) and tossing them together with dragons is a little...lame I suppose. I didn't even like the map he had...

I made it to the eighth book in The Wheel of Time and decided to take break from it, maybe try get into somethin' fresh. I just recently picked up the first book of Song of Fire and Ice and I haven't been able to put it down. WOT is gonna have to wait a while, a long while...
