A woman who waged war with her daughter from March to May because she was “pregnant by a drug user” was herself arrested and charged with child neglect.
A long and detailed arrest report narrative told a story of constant turbulence between the mother and daughter, the mother’s boyfriend, the daughter’s boyfriend, and even neighbors. Alcohol was also a factor.
On March 18 officers were summoned to the residence to conduct a welfare check on the mother after she didn’t show up for work. She was there and told police she had “disowned” her daughter.
On April 11 officers again went to the residence and were told by the woman her daughter had left the house without permission, which was a violation of her probation. Police learned the girl was going to the beach with her boyfriend. They explained the situation to the girl, who said she’d return.
Later, police received a 911 call from the girl, who said she was back home but was afraid to go inside because her mother’s boyfriend was in the house and he made her feel uncomfortable because of a previous yelling incident. When officers explained the girl’s concerns to her mother, the woman said her daughter “could just (expletive deleted) leave and go somewhere else.” Officers had to remind the woman she had just reported her daughter missing.
When the girl went into the house her mother began making comments about her, calling her a “bitch” and saying she was an unfit mother. Police intervened to make her stop.
On April 14 officers again responded to a disturbance call at the house. Mother and daughter were arguing about the girl’s boyfriend. The mother had drunk “a few brewskies.” She had taken away the girl’s cell phone so she could not call 911. Police said the mother couldn’t deny the girl access to 911 services, and the mother said the girl could “walk to the nearest pay phone.”
Twenty minutes later police were back at the residence. The mother said her daughter had said, “I won’t be alive much longer,” a comment the girl denied making. In fact, she said she wanted to relocate to her father’s residence in Boca Raton and had taken back her cell phone to call him. This caused the mother to begin yelling, banging on the girl’s bedroom door and threatening her.
On April 18 another disturbance call came in. The mother had been drinking and began yelling at the daughter, at one point locking her out of the house. Officers brokered a truce between the two and the daughter went to her bedroom. A neighbor said he heard the older woman yelling at her daughter that she’s a “whore.”
On May 16 police arrived at the residence yet again and were approached by a neighbor who said he had heard the mother screaming at the girl that she was a “whore” and threw her out of the house. The girl came to the neighbors for help. At that point the mother, who was intoxicated according to the report, chased after her daughter until warned away by the neighbor. Another person drove the girl to a convenience store, where she was picked up by her boyfriend.
Later that day the mother phoned in a missing persons report on her daughter. When police interviewed her, the mother said the day before they had gone to Bayou Blues to listen to a band. The mother got up to dance but was the only person dancing, which apparently embarrassed the girl. She allegedly told her mother to stop “flaunting” herself. The girl ended up driving home because the mother was too drunk, but when they got back another argument ensued and the mother told the girl to “get the (expletive) out of the house,” adding that her daughter almost died of renal failure due to complications of her pregnancy.

It's really sad that everything is so obvious to everyone except this mom. I hope the girl can, somehow, learn to be a good parent (or give her baby to good parents). She sure had no example of "How to be a mom".
