"My buddy had caught a fish and usually we bring it in this side of the boat and this fish here went around the back of the boat and when we both turned to see the fish is when it caught the corner of our eye and we seen the canoe flip," said McBride.
"That kid would go under for three or four seconds and then come back up, and his bigger cousin kept grabbing him by his hoodie and pulling him up," said McBride.
McBride says he and his friend got there just in time.
"You could see them, their legs and arms were flopped over and they weren't moving," says McBride's son, Zachary.
