DESTIN -- A man who parked his car outside his home, went inside and fell asleep, woke to the sound of a female acquaintance walking in his home, slamming the door, and then returning to announce "I hope you like your car now."

The 23-year-old woman's Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrest report did not specify their relationship.

The man went out to view his 1979 Lincoln and saw deep scratches, consistent with someone using a sharp object to damage the paint. The car was covered with flecks of paint.

Summer Lee Evans was charged with criminal mischief. The damage was estimated to be $3,000.
