Hey guys, I'm a noob around here. And like all good noobs I enjoy the finer things in life, such as spamming boards promoting my new ultrahardcore horror movie murdervomitsomethingorother and making Rob Zombie threads. I also enjoy long walks on the beach with my fellow Juggalo's and mugging old ladies.:)

...I'm sorry I'll behave now. I've always wanted to make a noobie thread.:o

Sorry that I don't believe racing and shows about cars should be banned because of easily impressionable people like your brother. Every time your brother got drunk and then went driving he risked the lives of every innocent motorist that he passed. Too many people die due to people like your brother. Only in this instance he took himself out before he could kill an innocent family due to his moronic habit of street racing and drink driving.

People should take responsibility for their own actions. Horror movies shouldn't be banned because they might corrupt psychos. And driving shows and racing should not be banned because of drink drivers like your brother. People need to take responsibility for themselves and stop blaming the media for the stupid bullshit they do. It's the crutch of this generation and total bullshit. Your brother and his friends went drunk driving. It's not Top Gear's fault, it's theirs.

Kinda ironic that you signed up to a website that lambastes drunk drivers on a daily basis don't ya think? And I never ever outright insulted your brother, in fact I gave you my sympathies...

Suck for you LaArana and I hope your family arent taking it too hard. But I really have to agree with wiciltd. You have too many children etc killed by selfish drunk drivers.

It wasn't until you played internet toughman and threatened to find me and 'hit me' :stupido3: for saying your brother should take responsibility for his own actions instead of you blaming racing shows that I decided to just go with what I really thought.

Depeche's "offensive comment" that is nowhere to be found.

Eh. The supposed offensive comment is over on BD. I posted the gist of it here anyway. Lopez's brother died after a string of drink driving with his friend. Someone then made a thread about racing etc two days down the line and Lopez goes crazy, ranting at people that racing should be banned for influencing people. Then I replied that such a suggestion is bullshit as people should take responsibility for their own actions, and that fans shouldn't be deprived of a (legal) sport they love due to stupid drunk drivers. He then proceeded to go ape because I called drunk drivers (and therefore his brother) stupid. His brother and his friend crashed in to a truck so the other passenger was fine. Had they hit a family car they probably would've killed everyone inside just so they could get their stupid thrill.

It's really not that interesting, so I'm not going to mention it again. In fact I forgot all about it until I saw him post here.

Funnily enough us two (as in me and B&T) had exactly the same argument over video games.

Admittedly I did say it about his brother as well but only after his rant and threats of 'smashing my face in'. Originally I left it as a broad statement (as did a few people before me).

But all that said it really didn't need to be bought over here anyway (especially considering I hadn't even been here for months). I only came over because Morbid wanted to show me the new site, otherwise I never would've seen this. And then because I did log on DL and DB made sure to leave me spiteful messages on my profile here just for visiting. There was a thread before the one he blew up in, in which all I did was state my distaste for people that drink and drive but if people really want to search out the threads to make up their own minds (though I still don't see why it matters), they can.

Though regardless my point stands, his brother enjoyed drinking and driving (even if he wasn't the one behind the wheel in this instance). No sympathy from me. I'm just glad he and his friend didn't take out an innocent bystander. Brutal answer? Yes. But an honest one. And I still find it hilarious he blames track racing and car shows and not his brothers stupid thrill seeking.

Had DL's story been posted on the front page of this site and not by a relative of the deceased people would be blasting the shit out of it.

You mean like DL trolled up Depecheanix, not only in another thread but on a complete other forum? Is that how you mean? Hypocrite much?

Why is it that you, and DL insist on assigning the stupid tag to Dl's brother?

What he said was that drunk drivers, street racers, thrill seekers on the road, were stupid and you two keep wanting to put words in the man's mouth.

I make no bones about the fact that Depecheanix went looking to get a rise out of DL. He did and it worked to a "T".

Having read the thread now, I'd say it was no more an asinine response than Dl's was to the thread. DL went looking to get a rise out of the original poster, and got all butt hurt when he got one back at him.

I'd say if you don't want you personal issued thrown in your face, you might consider keeping them private. (you and your used in a generic sort of way, not directed at you personally)

http://video.kenblockracing.com/flash/player/index.php?vendor_id=204&video_id=9183

Now to that video: WOW, what a display of total control of your surroundings. A masterful use of power, control, and skill.

A show of how to take your toys and play safely in an isolated, safe play ground where there is no chance of your having a great time can harm anyone. If anything, the video is quite the opposite of DL's post and theory, in that others can clearly see that the maker knows this sort of play is to be done in a closed location where safety can be controlled.

Yes, I went out of my way to bring up an old topic, but there has never been a time I was actually hurt to the point of wanting to become violent, on a forum/the net, as with DepecheAnix. My brother wasn't street racing. He was a passenger.

You compare too different things, in my opinion. But I never said race car driving should be banished. I said it only "inspires," to a certain degree. Stop putting words in my mouth.

I'd say the low piece of scum is the one that brought bad blood over from another forum and assigned "stupid" to your brother by taking a statement about drunk drivers and making it about your brother. Truth hurt?

It was you, that made the comment about your brother, not him.

R

Harley, you've never liked me from the start - it doesn't surprise me that you are jumping on the bandwagon of hatred towards me. I felt the need to say what I did about DA, so I did it. I'm not trying to win over sides. I'm not trying to distort your view of some online persona that doesn't even sign on here but once in a blue moon. I can tell you this, though. I'm far from a piece of scum. I respect and care for people, whether they be strangers or familiar.

Nah, he said "stupid people like your brother."

R

I only told my take on fast cars and how necessary they are to our lives. They aren't. Even if my bro hadn't died, I'd have the same view. Yeah, his death was freshly in my mind - please excuse me for making connections so suddenly and reinforcing my opinion.

If this thread would have remained at the bottom of the forum, even after my response, I would have posted it anyways. It really is no one else's business, and I'm not trying to bring on the bad beef. I'm always a mild-mannered guy. So, think what you will, Harley Tech. You're probably right. I am scum. I just don't give a fuck. I don't try to brighten anyone's day. I dont give to the needy. I'm just a big fucking bad ass villain. DA should start with a new slate, with you guys who do not know him. I'm not gonna bite my tongue, even if it influences other people's views. So, no - I wasn't trolling. I haven't much to contribute to the site anyways. Maybe I'll just resign and make my perma-home at splatter day. Thanks for the bad rep points, HT. Perhaps you were waiting for a good opportunity to use'em on me.

DL, I am really sorry for your loss. One thing that I know about thrill seekers is the fact that they rarely consider the consequences of their actions. I know your brother did not get into the car looking to get killed and I am sure the idea didn't even cross his mind, but I doubt he wasn't a willing participant.

His actions that night were rather selfish, he never considered what could happened had they killed someone and he never considered how you and your family would feel had something happened to him. I think you have a lot of misplaced anger in this situation and I don't understand why you went out of your way to "welcome" a member who has been here longer then you. It seems that you were looking to make a point that had nothing to do with this site, and I am rather disappointed to see it.

I understand you are in mourning, however, when you post on a public forum, you are going to get a public opinion which may not be something you want to hear.

Up to that point all I had said on the subject more or less was gave you my respects, because it wasn't my place to say much more, nor was I out looking purposefully to piss people off. It wasn't until you got all self righteous and launched an attack on me and others, that I got 'offensive'. The fact that you were 'hurting' was besides the point, you used it as an excuse to rant against people.

Idiotic statement of the month!

Yeah, that alcohol poured its self down your brother's and his friend's throat, put their asses in the car and sent them careening down the road into a truck.

No, your brother and his friend made the conscious choice to drink that alcohol to a point of inebriation. They then made the choice to get in the car and place not only themselves at great risk, but thousands of others on the road. To say otherwise is simply asinine.

Its called taking responsibility for your actions, and your statement is a failed attempt to absolve them of any responsibility.

Me:
Speeding like this is fuckin idiotic and inspires dumb shits to race down roads on busy highways. You want an adrenaline rush? Go sky-diving. At least you won't have the opportunity to take a friend or family member of mine out with ya.

depecheanix:
Bullshit. If you're going to have that opinion on it why are you on a horror site?

me(just so you know, DA wasn't someone whom I held in high regard. He isn't very pleasant to most BD users. Had it been anyone else, I'd have responded differently:
I don't know how this is in relation to horror movies, which is only simulated violence. Killing people and then driving at high speeds for pure kicks(and in competition - interweaving through traffic) - these are two totally different matters. Your argument is fuckin' lame.

I know or have known people that do this shit. I'm sure their ideas were fed from racing events and such. You don't even reside anywhere near America, where these dumbasses do it on heavily populated highways, in major cities(and outside of them). You aren't aware of the mechanics at hand, here, obviously. I never said it was the sole purpose or reasoning behind why people do the shit.

I'm on a horror site because I like to watch off shit and sometimes talk about the movies I hold dear. It would be much more difficult for me to commit homicide than apply some metal to the pedal.

depecheanix:
So racing, shows like Top Gear and the like is somehow evil because of stupid people like your brother and his friend drink driving? Fucking bullshit. Total utter crap.

And Britain isn't all that different from the US. One of our top ten shows over here is Top Gear, a show all about driving really really fast.

If it was some dickweeds doing speed tests amongst innocent motorists fine. But making a fuss over that video? Is Top Gear now evil because people drive fast in it (even though they do it in a closed off airport?) Again you're talking toss.

Your brother (you said yourself) drunk and drove often. Don't judge others by his standards. Some people just enjoy watching racing and speed trials (I don't personally but I respect their right to do so).

me:
I didn't make fuss about shit. and how dare you call my brother stupid. He's fuckin' dead. How low can you go, man? I'm not about violence, but if you were within 3 feet if my face I'd fuckin bash yours in.

I'm not going by what happened with my brother. It's just fuckin logic. The fact that the show is one of the top 10 in your beloved country is probably a contributing factor, aside from cars like that being made in the first place. If a father takes his son to a race show, his son will most likely say, "hey I wanna drive a car just like that. " That's a far step from murder, you stupid nelly piece of shit. Racecar drivers are considered heroes in the eyes of many.

Seriously, you need to fucking chill out and stop getting your fuckin emotions hurt because a sport you enjoy spectating is probably one of the most tedious and boring, just like your existence. You need to find a new hobby. I know you lurk and place your posts just for sheer kicks. It's quite disgusting. I have no clue why you sent me a friend's request in the first place. You didn't even know me and you still don't. Feel free to retract it. I'm not wasting the effort.

What can I say? I was still crushed about my bro - it hadn't even been a week. Sure, I said a few nasty things here and there, but when it comes to my family, I take that to heart, and I don't stand for it. Perhaps this makes me look like the bad guy. The way he treats others(elite horror fans @ BD have the right to condescend the younger and inexperienced) contributes to why I call him a "bad person." That's just my opinion about it all. Again, I didn't want things to come to this. My brother had just died, and I was in a state of mental chaos. I did let my emotion get the best of me. I guess he couldn't accept my POV, so he hit me where it hurt. and That's all. I'm not an aggressive guy. This was just a time certain things were uncalled for. Maybe I was wrong? Anyways, this stupid thread(which I've apologized for - I didn't get one from depecheanix, and I guess I never expected one). I feel foolish for my reaction. I don't think I'll be posting here anymore. Harley is right - I dont give quality content to the site. I bump useless threads with no relation to crime. The knocked threads deserve to be seen and read. I'll just move along to the forum where I fit like a glove. 'Twas a fun time, here, though.

Admittedly I did say it about his brother as well but only after his rant and threats of 'smashing my face in'. Originally I left it as a broad statement (as did a few people before me).
but I guess that's what happens when someone decides to take a comment on the internet super seriously.:confused2:

Misinformation. Like I said, I'm a family man. I took offense. Words can do wonderful things. Ever smile when reading an article or post? Get angry or upset when something has occurred, not to you're liking? Words are a pathway to many feelings.

There was a thread before the one he blew up in.
over-exaggeration. and I clearly didn't blow up until you said what you had.

I don't think most people on this forum are so cold-hearted. I never have agreed with drinking and driving... but my step-bro was an exceptional soul. It happens to the best of us.

I read the story the day it was reported, his and the driver's BAC was well over the limit. Given those facts, the stupid tag is deserved...carry on.

Thank you for your understanding.

I've enjoyed your posts immensely, DL, and felt sorry for your pain in losing your step-brother. But it's still true that bringing a feud from another site here is probably not in anyone's best interests.

I'm sorry if my reply earlier came off as rude, I was in a mood. (((Ruby))

I had some time to think about this on my route. I apologize for my display, it usually isn't like me to go about matters as I did in this post. Anyways, I was lacking sleep, and my body chemistry puts me in awkward moods and actions.

I'll repost the wordy swap that went on @ BD.

I already posted the link to the discussion 2 pages previous so that people can make up their own minds. Although it is very amusing that in the quotes you've just posted here you made sure to edit out some of the insults you flung at me (before I said the brother comment). Where have all the idiot comments gone? Are you really that desperate for the public sympathy?

Bravo.

What can I say? I was still crushed about my bro - it hadn't even been a week. Sure, I said a few nasty things here and there, but when it comes to my family, I take that to heart, and I don't stand for it.

Then don't use it as a crutch to rant at people with. It'll make you look like a cunt, and then other people will be a cunt back.

The way he treats others(elite horror fans @ BD have the right to condescend the younger and inexperienced) contributes to why I call him a "bad person."

I use sarcasm with some noobs as a joke, I've never driven a noob off the board, I always help them out if they ask for recommendations on stuff I'm experienced with. I'm not the sort that runs around screaming about repeat threads, I'm nothing compared to others on the board. I bash people I'm used to, like Bonomo or Cotton. Because I know they'll bash me back. It's called joking around. Maybe you aught to look that up sometime.

I don't even have one infraction to my name. And I've been there 4 or so years. If I'm really as bad as you say don't you think I'd have a little more than that?

I didn't get one from depecheanix, and I guess I never expected one).

Had you pm'd me, or even explained yourself over at BD instead of taking petty matters over to other boards (that I hadn't posted on in ages no less just so you could bash me to people I don't even know) then you would've gotten one.

It's also nice to know that another person thinks of my brother stupid and such. Anybody ever get a DUI or DWI on this site? Anybody ever lost a loved one because they were drunk or riding with a drunken driver? Right, they most undoubtedly must be have been 100 percent stupid.

Well, that's too bad. I look at it this way, take it the way you want to. I could careless. Before your step-brother died, did you think that driving drunk was stupid? Did you think that passengers in the vehicle with a drunk driver were stupid?

Again, it's stupid to get in a car with a drunk driver and it is stupid to drive drunk. I expressed my condolences to you before this popped up and I would've thought that was enough. But since you want to pick a fight with me and anyone else who thinks that drunk drivers are stupid, so be it.

It's funny that you think this subject has been dropped.......

Yeah, I think it's a stupid act(before and after) but you are calling that person stupid, directly. That's a whole 'nother thing. It's just hard to hear people just flat out calling my brother stupid, as if he had no background.

Well, not trying to be rude, but I'm sure, when everyone else heard or saw the news that there was a drunk driving accident and the passenger had been killed, how do you think they thought? Honestly, I'm sorry you lost your brother, it's just that I think the decision to get in to a vehicle with a drunk driver is stupid.

Your brother accomplished a lot in his life, no doubt. Understandably, you are going to be upset as you have just lost him. But you also need to understand that others feel that drunk driving accidents and deaths can be prevented. I, for one feel that your brother made a stupid decision that cost him his life. And I feel that the driver should be punished for taking the life of your brother because he is also stupid. Again, take it however you want to. This is my view on drunk driving accidents.

YOU, have a real problem with reading comprehension. With the exception of ONE POST each and every one of these comments have said a very generic "People who drink and drive" or "drunk drivers" or "people who ride with drunk drivers" yet you insist on assigning their comments to your brother. Its a pathetic attempt on your part to solicit sympathy.

Yes, I have a DWI from 1983...you know what, it was STUPID and I very well could have hurt someone else. It was stupid to do it and you know what, my family told me as much when they left me in jail to await trial. They didn't coddle me or make excuses for me. As much as they hated WHAT I DID, they cared for me enough to not try and lessen what I had done or make excuses for me.

Now you come making excuses for your brother. If you knew he was doing this before he died, and did nothing to stop him, you are part of his problem. If you continue to make excuses for his actions now, you are sending the message to the rest of your family and others that what he did is OK with you.

Those that stand by watching while someone they claim to love do destructive things are not helping that person.

Grow a fucking set man. Stand up and say what he did was horrible, and yes, even stupid. Say that you love him dearly, but refuse to condone his actions.

Let me make it clear for you. What your brother did was stupid. As for your brother being stupid, I have no fucking idea, since I don't know him.
Can you see the difference between hating the actions, and hating the person?

Before, I said I had no opinion about you, but I have formed one now. You are a whiny bitch that can't separate your love for your brother from his deplorable actions that got him killed. I pity you and those around you that might actually follow your lead.

But the priest, the priest fucked up when he came to me in the cemetery and said this ...... "it was god's way, my mother paid for her sins". Okay well, ya know maybe he was right. Fuck I don't know. I believe in karma, not fucking god. I remember at the moment feeling so much anger. I was angry my mother, my best friend, my rock died. I lost it that day and told him "Fuck you and your fucking god" then I spit on his lovely robes and walked away. My point to all this is......you feel anger and it's okay, but move on. I carried anger for years over my mother's death. Don't do it Lopez. Now, please stay on here. I for one enjoy your company.

I never made excuses. I accepted that he lived his life that way. Doesn't mean I liked it. Sometimes you cannot stop someone when they arent within miles of you. And if my posts didn't send a message to anyone, then the whole reason for putting them up was for naught. Sure, it was a small thread. I figured it would get people to thinking.

I can't help but notice that the more a person says I do not want sympathy/pity the more they do indeed want it.

They just don't have the balls to say it.

I have also seen it said that a certain someone will not be posting on this board anymore. And yet he has posted at LEAST 3 more times since....

What is really pissing me off though is this misguided notion that we are all supposed to bow down at the sacred ground of DL's brother, (whose death was ENTIRELY PREVENTABLE!) That it is somehow OUR fault that his brother was STUPID enough to get into a Corvette with a driver who was -dare I say it- DRUNK!

Perhaps DL if you were to use some of this venom that you have spewed our way, for good instead of EVIL, you would be able to make a difference in someone elses life and allow them to NOT make the fatally decision your brother did.

Nobody deserves to die the way your brother did, but the point that I think you are missing is that he could have said NO your to drunk to drive, I'll take a cab.

Yeah, I'm posting a bit more... I'm not spitting venom at you guys. Like I said, I just wanted to share my experience with others, because I post a lot about what goes on in my life, if you read my blogs. No one this close to me and so young has died, so I'm handling this in a way I usually wouldn't. I can make do on my own; it was nice of everyone to send their sympathies, but that was not my goal.
You've made the wrong call. The thing is - he was my brother - and I cannot help but be defensive. Sorry.
