Police say 37-year-old Rudy Moreno went to the victim's home on June 24 to buy some furniture from her.
Once inside, investigators allege he attacked the woman and demanded money.
The woman fought back, and police say Moreno fled after getting some cash.
Police contacted him by phone, and Moreno turned himself in on Friday.
He's charged with robbery, battery, and crimes against the elderly.
