TORNADO, W.Va.
Vance Xavier Wilder, 48, was arrested at his residence 9 p.m. Monday when authorities entered his home with a search warrant, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.
Graphic images of child pornography were located during the search, authorities said.
Wilder was arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court and is being held in the South Central Regional Jail on $50,000 bond.
The investigation was led by Capt. Don Scurlock of the Nitro Police Department.
The West Virginia sex offender registry at http://www.wvstatepolice.com/sexoff/ says Wilder was convicted in Arizona in 1986 of sexual abuse. The victim was listed as a female family member between the ages of 6 and 12. Wilder served 3 years probation.WTF?
The registry also says that in 1995 in Arizona, Wilder was convicted of child molestation and served 9 years in prison. The victim was a female family member between infancy and 5 years old, according to the sex offender registry.
