FORT PIERCE — A man accused of using the “Wizzer” — a device connected to a bag of room-temperature urine — in a bid to beat a urine analysis faces two felony charges, according to a recently released arrest affidavit.
Shaun Justin Sneider, 25, is on felony probation and a probation officer scheduled an appointment for Sneider Tuesday to test his urine for “illegal substances.”
Authorities said such devices pose a challenge to drug testing. Onterrio Smith, a Former Minnesota Vikings running back, was caught with a device called the Whizzinator, which resulted in his suspension. Actor Tom Sizemore also was caught with one attempting to evade drug tests.
A male probation officer searched Sneider before he used the rest room. Discovered was a “white jockstrap along his waist and attached to it was a fake penis which was connected to a bag of urine,” the affidavit states.
The affidavit states the apparatus is called a “Wizzer,” and allows users to provide a fake urine sample to testers.
“The ‘Wizzer’ keeps the urine warmed at room temperature and it attaches to the waist so it can remain concealed if pants are over it,” the affidavit states.
Probation officers took the device and called police, who arrested Sneider on felony charges of tampering with evidence and violation of probation.
While police took him to jail, Sneider said he used the “Wizzer” because of an addiction to “Roxy” pills, the affidavit states. He said he used them that morning, and that he doesn’t want to lose his family and wants help, the affidavit states.
Investigators seized the “Wizzer” and placed it into evidence.
Sneider, of the 1300 block of Southeast Oakmont Lane, was held Thursday in the St. Lucie County jail on no bond, a jail official said.
