Activision (http://www.activision.com) has released 14 titles that will be covered in the Guitar Hero (http://www.guitarherogame.com) expansion called Guitar Hero: Rocks the '80s.
I Wanna Rock (by Twisted Sister)
I Ran (by Flock of Seagulls)
Round and Round (as made famous by Ratt)
I Want Candy (as made famous by Bow Wow Wow)
Metal Health (as made famous by Quiet Riot)
Holy Diver (as made famous by Dio)
Heat Of The Moment (as made famous by Asia)
18 and Life (as made famous by Skid Row)
Bathroom Wall (as made famous by Faster Pussycat)
Lonely is the Night (as made famous by Billy Squier)
Nothing But a Good Time (as made famous by Poison)
Play With Me (as made famous by Extreme)
Shaken (as made famous by Eddie Money)
Synchronicity II (as made famous by Police)A possible July release, this expansion will only be available to PS2 owners. I will more than likely buy this, as I love the game, but I am wondering how Xbox 360 owners will be treated. Will these songs be offered via downloadable content in the same way the last batch of songs were done? A lot of people didn't seem too happy with that.

Seven more tracks have been revealed, bringing the total to 14 out of 30. Cannot say I am real impressed with the list, but there some kickass one on there.

Hey, they got Asia's Heat of the Moment...they have to have Loverboy's Hot Girls in Love. Hell, in all honesty, I am hoping they do. :)

Yeah, yeah...even more Guitar Hero news. The Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the '80s website (http://www.guitarherogame.com/gh80s/) has opened and while it is only one page, it does have 3 extra tracks to add to the list of known tracks.

* "Balls To The Wall" by Accept
* "Only A Lad" by Oingo Boingo
* "The Warrior" by Scandal

Personally, I am glad to see Only A Lad on the list.

Swivel, picked the game up tonight and have been tearing through it. They picked some great songs.

I beat it with a friend of mine the day it came out. Some pretty good songs. I Wanna Rock turned out pretty well so that makes me look forward to the future. I did have to switch back to GH1 for a few songs after completing the 80s though. The nostalgia was to high. lol

I have one song left, including the encore. I will be soooo glad when we stop hearing the cover bands and are listening to the original artists. All through the GH series, some of my favorite songs were practically ruined by the cover band.

I almost failed the final encore in 30 seconds. I got my shit together and beat it but if you're playing on expert, watch out for the beginning.

It sucks that many of the older songs don't have masters available. But at least most of the songs do. I'll be a lot happier playing to the real songs.
