Thanks McVain, for the 360 cable post. It is helping me test how to get articles created by members on the front page and come up with posting guidelines IF you want a post to show up front.
One thing I already see is that when it comes to a source article, simply make a key word in your post the link. Check out the front page and you will see what I mean. Instead of a Read All About it link, I just turned a word in your post into a link.
All I have to do now is figure out how to give the creator credit on the front page and how a member can be rewarded. I am working on something that will entice members to not only post, but to also create posts that will become articles. It may induce some post whoring at first, but we will see.

Just noticed that on the front page. I saw it in my RSS feeds and was wondering what was going on. I like the linking idea. It makes the bottom of the article seem less cluttered. I'll continue to write these articles on the forums until everything gets figured out on the frontpage (unless of course you would rather I continue to write them here and then you transfer the worthy ones). I never intended for them to go up on the front page anyway, I was just merely making sure that I could write one without it looking like my 4th grade newspaper articles.
Nice formatting by the way. It looks pretty cool the way the images are laid out in the article on the front page.

Create whatever you want. I'll cherry pick. In a perfect world, I foresee a variety of posts in different subjects. Me and a few other people will simply pick a couple from each topic to throw up front. These posters will be rewarded in some fashion. I am thinking of some type of reward system I was looking at. The user with the most 'awards' will receive something every month. I am working out the details on that one.

That's cool. I always have a variety of things I could post anyway and I get the news fairly quickly (I have 53 RSS feeds in FireFox).
As for giving posters something for their contribution... I'm not sure. It would be awesome if it varied from person to person though.
McVain asks only for a thanks for the use of his article.
ZB asks for a thanks and a special logo for her signature. (Because she thinks she is better than McVain).
McVain sees this and demands the same as ZB but also a monthly $1 gift card to KFC
In comes Hanoi Jane who believes her articles bring a special vibe. She demands double what McVain and ZB get for their articles plus a monthly $5 gift card from Amazon.
Then when you notice that it has gotten out of hand (yes, it took you that long) you say you can only pay us with thanks. This leads to the first ever Forum Strike.
