SNOQUALMIE, Wash. - The State Patrol says a 13-year-old girl apparently was drunk and driving a car that overturned on Highway 18 at Tiger Mountain, ejecting a 21-year-old passenger.
Trooper Cliff Pratt says both had been drinking before Tuesday's accident just before 6 a.m. They were traveling in a Dodge Caravan on eastbound Highway 18 when they came to a curve, lost control of their vehicle and hit a small hill, say troopers. Beer cans and debris from the car are reportedly strewn over a 20-yard stretch of the highway.
Both were taken to Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, the 13-year-old with a leg injury and the 21-year-old with a head injury.
Pratt says both were uncooperative, and the 21-year-old first said she was the driver's mother, then sister. Troopers say they may have been traveling from the Mukilshoot Reseveration.
As troopers investigate the scene and clear up the accident, traffic is reportedly backed up for a few miles on eastbound Highway 18.
-------------
That 21 year old is doubly screwed. A head injury AND a contributing charge? It's too bad the wreck didn't kill her. She's still young enough to breed.
