A young mother was jailed Monday, accused of severely injuring her 2-year-old boy.

Saturday afternoon, police responded to the Austin Suites Hotel off I-35 in reference to the injured child. That's where police say Toni Renee Martinez, 19, lived with her son.
Police say Martinez changed her story about what happened to the child.
According to a police report, she initially told police the child had "fallen off the bath tub and hit his head on the floor."

The boy was taken by ambulance to Dell Children's Medical Center. Doctors there said the child suffered "subdural hematoma" -- severe head trauma -- and that the injuries did not appear to be accidental.

Martinez then confessed to police that her son had "urinated in his underwear, while staring at her in a defiant manner."

The affidavit shows, that she picked him up and began to "shake him." She said she "hit her son on the side of the head" and "threw her son into the bathtub."

Doctors say if the 2-year-old boy survives, he will likely suffer permanent brain damage. The boy is in stable, but serious condition. Doctors had to remove part of his skull to allow room for the brain to swell.

It seems there's a lot of this going around, lately. What is it with parents who can't control themselves when a child has an accident? One throws a child into the shower, one sprays the kid with a pressurized car wash sprayer, and this bitch throws the kid in the tub. Why not try pull ups and diaper wipes, people? I hope this bitch pees her pants when the bulldyke squad comes after her in jail. Then they can take turns tossing her ass into the shower walls.

I am just overall surprised at how much people expect from such young children. My son is two and he has shown interest in the potty maybe a total of five times. We've made a few successful trips but I am certainly not going to pressure him to accomplish something he doesn't feel ready for and couldn't imagine punishing him for it.

I have had my share of accidents while bringing up my children. I often wondered if my oldest daughter would EVER be trained. I thought she'd be wearing pull-ups to her wedding. But....through it all, ya know what? It's JUST PEE!!! The kids aren't burning down the house or cutting off the cat's tail.....they accidentally pee their damn pants. Take em off...throw em in the washer. Problem solved! I know that it can be frustrating cause diapers can get expensive....but damn! I don't see any need to come to blows over it.
