YONKERS - A 64-year-old Connecticut woman angry that her husband was seeing another woman drove to Yonkers and smashed her 2004 Porsche into his 2009 Lexus in his girlfriend's driveway before confronting the younger woman, police said.
Caroline Terry Dewey of Westport struggled with the 46-year-old Yonkers woman in the foyer of the latter's Wyndam Road house on Friday night, according to police.
The younger woman punched Dewey in the face, pushed her out of her home, slammed the door behind her and called police, said Capt. Daniel Daly.
When Officers Neal Cromwell and Bruce Grossman arrived at the house to investigate the complaint at 7:10 p.m., they found Dewey outside with a nosebleed. She refused medical attention.
The two damaged cars were in the driveway. Dewey told police she was driving too fast and was upset and could not stop before crashing into her husband's car.
Daly said there was a court order of protection barring the Connecticut woman from the Yonkers woman's home. Dewey was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony, and second-degree harassment, a violation.
Police said Dewey and her 62-year-old estranged husband are in the process of a divorce. Dewey was arrested in Westchester on Jan. 20 for aggravated harassment. The case is still open but details were not immediately available.
