Chauncey Taylor tortured his 5-month-old son

A 27-year-old Hesperia man is behind bars on suspicion of repeatedly abusing his 5-month-old son, sheriff's officials said.

Doctors at Loma Linda University Medical Center on Friday treated the baby for a lacerated scrotum. During surgery, they noticed that the cut was smooth and had clean edges.

The medical staff also found the baby boy had a broken leg, multiple bruises and possible head trauma.

San Bernardino County sheriff's detectives investigated the injuries and arrested the father, Chauncey Taylor, on suspicion of torture and child abuse. He was booked at Central Detention Center. Bail was set at $500,000.

I think Chauncey's parents need to be charged with something. Any kid named Chauncey is bound to snap eventually.

At least the baby is alive and young enough to grow up with no memory of this trauma - hopefully he'll be placed into a safe and loving home, and soon.

WHAT!? This one baffles me. I'm afraid to even wipe my son sometimes knowing that the few times (when I was a teenager) that I kicked a guy in the crotch, it looked like they were dying. HA...yeah I sucked as a teenager, but hey...I learned something.
