The baby was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Rogers said, in critical condition.
The sheriff's office consulted with the hospital's Child Assessment Team and physician it was determined that the injuries were likely caused by abuse rather than an accident.
According to Rogers, detectives and representatives with children services interviewed the baby’s mother, Heather Dawn Hudson, 23.
The affidavit shows when Detective Garrison Bryant interviewed Hudson, Hudson told Bryant she became frustrated with the baby and at times would pick up the child and “squeeze” him.
Hudson also admitted to Bryant she would yank the baby by the knees or hold the child at chest level and push the child away from her into the crib.
The affidavit states that medical personnel at the hospital told him the child had possible fractures of both legs, a skull fracture, a healing rib fracture, a lacerated liver, a hematoma of the adrenal gland and other unspecified injuries.
Terry Miller, director of Children’s Services, said his office has had no prior contact with Hudson.
