http://i40.tinypic.com/2957mrm.jpgMarkel Johnson, 18, of Lakewood, was indicted today on charges of aggravated burglary, kidnapping and felonious assault.

Prosecutors say he was staying in the 1400 block of Wyandotte Avenue May 23, when he stabbed a 13-year-old girl.

The girl was climbing the basement steps. Johnson reached around her and stabbed her in the abdomen with a kitchen knife with a 6-inch blade. He pulled her into a corner and stuck his hand in her mouth, so she couldn't scream. He punched her in the head several times then left her with two puncture wounds to the abdomen.

The next day, Lakewood police were called to the 17800 block of Lake Road. A 54-year-old woman said there was a stranger sleeping in her bedroom. Johnson woke up and ran to the basement, where police arrested him. Johnson had taken three knives from the kitchen and also had one taken from the Wyandotte home.http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2009/06/lakewood_markel_johnson_18.html

I'd love to hear stories where the penal system rehabilitated the offender and they went on to live great and productive lives. Where are those stories.???

Those are boring. No one wants to read them. They do happen but most of them prefer to keep their past a secret... unless they are revival pastors.

We once had a truck driver that was hired to fuel all of our equipment.

His time cards came in that he "Fooled the trucks." --for eight hours everyday.

Keying his time in always made me :pound:
