Donald Coy of North Perry Street was arrested today on misdemeanor charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police say Coy, who worked for the Fulton County Ambulance Service, pocketed the medication during a May 9 call at city home where the woman was found dead. Family members later discovered the medication was missing and called the Fulton County coroner's office. The coroner shared the information with police.

Coy was ticketed and must appear in Gloversville City Court on a later date.http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=808131

If they had any suspicion of foul play in connection with her death the presence or absence of a bottle of pills could make a big difference to the investigation. And how was he to know that there were no questions to raise?

Anyway, prescriptions pills are available on prescription only so that other people don't get hold of them.
