I can see your wife getting shit faced and falling out of the car, trying to vomit. But WTF!!, come on, how many states you going to drive trough till you call for help?? In Pauls case it was 3 before she was dead. And to top it all off, he had a restraining order on him from the wife. She sure didnt learn her lesson on that one.
(Boone County, KY) - Running over his wife in an apparent accident and not calling police has a Cincinnati man in jail.
Early Saturday morning, Paul Walz, 41, and his wife Carisa, 30, were partying in Boone County. They were driving home when Carisa got sick and tried to vomit out of the moving car on Kentucky 20 near the intersection with Kentucky 212. She fell out and was run over.
According to the Boone County Sheriff's Department, Walz, who was allegeldy driving drunk, loaded his critically-injured wife into the backseat of the car, but did not call 911 immediately. Instead he drove on Interstate 275 out of Kentucky, through Indiana, and into Ohio.
He finally stopped to call for help on Interstate 74 near the Hamilton-Cleves exit. EMTs came and rushed Carisa Walz to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Walz was supposed to be at least 500 feet away from his wife. An altercation at their home just a couple weeks earlier led to a protection order.
Paul Walz is charged with second degree manslaughter, DUI, and violating a protection order. He is being held in the Boone County Jail on a $252,500 bond. Arraignment is set for Monday morning
