Police have made an arrest after a mother was found murdered and her seven-year-old daughter injured early Sunday morning in their Oak Cliff home.
Edger Murga was arrested Sunday evening and charged in the murder of his sister-in-law, 32-year-old Alma Arenas-Perez, and in the injury of her daughter, Daisy.
Arenas-Perez's husband told authorities he found wife dead inside their home early Sunday morning.
Their daughter is now recovering at Children's Medical Center with an apparent neck wound. The couple's two-year-old son, Manuel, was not injured.
The exact weapon used in the attack has not been disclosed, but it appears to have been a stabbing.
Before Daisy was taken to the hospital, authorities said she was able to give officers valuable information that helped lead them to Murga.

Relatives said Arenas-Perez and her family, including her husband, went to a dinner at a relative's home Saturday. While Arenas-Perez and her kids left early, her husband stayed at the dinner. Investigators said he got home Sunday morning around 8 a.m. and discovered the bloody scene.
"Her husband is not considered a suspect at this time," Miller said.

The motive in the killing was unclear.
Police initially said the victims had been shot, but that was less certain Sunday evening.
A spokeswoman for the Dallas County medical examiner's office said details of Arenas-Perez's wounds would not be available until an autopsy is performed, probably today.
The girl was in serious condition Sunday, a hospital spokeswoman said. Police reported she had been wounded in the neck and was found on the sidewalk in front of the home.http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/localnews/stories/DN-violentnight_08met.ART.State.Edition2.50d3dec.html
