FORT PIERCE — A Fort Pierce man faces charges of felony robbery with a firearm and felony larceny theft after he allegedly assisted two men in a robbery early Saturday, according to an arrest affidavit from the Fort Pierce Police Department.

The victims were a local restaurant owner and an employee.

Johnterius Jerreca Osbourne, 25, of the 2500 block of Avenue I, was in a wheelchair and approached the two victims in their car after the men completed a transaction inside a gas station on Orange Avenue, the report states.

Two other suspects then quickly approached the car on foot and asked the victims for cash at gunpoint. One suspect pulled one of the men outside the car and stuck him twice after discovering the victim only had $20. Meanwhile, the other suspect took a leather wallet containing $1,500, a debit card and other personal information from the other victim.

Osbourne allegedly left the area while the robbery was in progress, but was later found by police in the wheelchair with a cell phone belonging to one of the victims. No information was available on the two other suspects.

The two victims were able to identify Osbourne.

Osbourne is being held at the St. Lucie County jail on $52,500 bail.
