LoL, he said it all started after he got dental braces in the 1990's , it must have tuned his brain into the "Waka Waka " radio station. I bet he is one of thoughs aluminum foil head guys. The ones who make skull caps out of aluminum foil to stop the voices in his head. I always find that funny cause we used to put balls of foil on our TV antennas to get better reception. So it seems to me like it would have the opposite effect of what they wanted. Instead of stopping the noise it would only make it worse.
BOULDER, Colo. — A man caught puncturing the tire of a Boulder police car and who is accused of slashing tires on about 50 other vehicles through the city told police he blames "radiation" from Rocky Flats and his relationship with his mother for the vandalism spree, police said Friday.
Alexander Kabelis, 31, of Boulder, was arrested Thursday night on suspicion of criminal mischief and carrying a concealed weapon.
An officer saw him crouched behind a silver police Suburban parked outside the Community Police Center on University Hill, 1310 College St., at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday, according to a police news release. The officer went to investigate and found that a tire was leaking, so he followed the suspect for a few blocks waiting for back-up to arrive.
They arrested Kabelis in the 900 block of 12th Street.
He had a knife in his pocket and admitted to cutting the tires of 46 cars since April 24, including nine police and sheriff's vehicles, according to the news release.
According to a search of records with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Kabelis has a lengthy criminal history, including arrests on suspicion of damaging property, assault and resisting arrest.
Boulder police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said Kabelis gave several reasons for why he went on the alleged slashing rampage.
"He said he was frustrated with the relationship with his mother," Huntley said. "He said he was angry with losing his license a couple years ago."
Huntley said the man also claimed he had been "buzzed" by police car, and that the "desire to slash the tires came from him getting braces in the late 1990s." ( WHAT ????)
She said the man's final rationale was that "radiation poisoning from the Rocky Flats production facility" caused him to target the tires.
