Another useless boyfriend shakes and kills a poor little innocent child. I don't have a clue why this one story says the kid recovered & survived???
GREENSBORO – A man was arrested and charged Friday in connection with an assault on a 9-month-old boy. On April 20, police responded to 2816 Vanstory St. to a report of an unconscious infant.
Upon arrival, officers found 9-month-old Tyler Foreman lying on a sofa with injuries consistent with shaken-baby syndrome, said Capt. Janice Rogers of the Greensboro Police Department.
EMS was called to the scene, and Tyler was transported to Cone Hospital. He was later moved to Brenner Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Rogers said the child has since recovered, but she did not know if he had been released from the hospital. Police said Tyler was being watched by his mother’s boyfriend Reynaldo Dejohn Williams, 26, at the time of the assault.
Detectives obtained warrants for Williams' arrest, and he was apprehended Friday afternoon in Farmville in eastern North Carolina.
Williams has been charged with one count of felony child abuse inflicting serious injury.
Williams was not listed as an inmate in the Pitt County Detention Center as of late Friday afternoon. His bond and address were not available.
Rogers said she did not know when Williams would be transferred back to Guilford County.
