(Au) A FATHER accused of murdering his 15-week-old daughter wrote that he wanted "nothing further to do with the baby" about six months before the infant's birth, a court heard yesterday.
Melbourne Magistrates' Court was told an email purportedly written by accused man Harold Adrian Taylor on April 9, 2006, indicated that he had left his wife and wanted nothing further to do with her or the baby.
Camilla Taylor was born to a surrogate mother in the United States on October 19, 2006. Mr Taylor, Camilla's biological father, traveled with his wife to the US and returned home with the baby on December 4, 2006.
Camilla was admitted to the Angliss Hospital on February 4 last year with three skull fractures and a healing hairline fracture of the leg. The infant was later transferred to the Royal Children's Hospital, where she died the next day.
