http://i42.tinypic.com/28jgkud.jpgA bank robber, who tried to disguise himself by taping his face, is under arrest after a police detective recognized him from the bank's surveillance recording.
Steven Colantonio, 49, is charged with robbery, a class B felony.
Lt. George McCarthy said Colantonio tried to change his appearance by putting white surgical tape on his face.
He was quickly identified, however, when a detective took a look at the surveillance recording of the robbery of St. Mary's Bank and recognized Colantonio from prior arrests, according to McCarthy.
Police said Colantonio passed a note demanding cash to the teller. No weapon was shown.
