King, 25, listed as homeless, will return to Lowell District Court on May 19. He is being held on three counts of armed assault to murder and aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon. According to a press release sent by Capt. Randall Humphrey of the Lowell Police Department, King was arrested on Thursday, May 14 at approximately 12 p.m. at a home on 14 Swan Lane in Billerica by Lowell and Billerica police, who were following up on a tip.
The release goes on to say King is a suspect in the shooting of a pregnant Lowell woman, Patricia Baker, 39. The shooting occurred on the morning of Friday, April 17, at 696 Merrimack Street in Lowell.
Baker has since been released from the Boston hospital where she was treated. Both her and her unborn child are reportedly doing well.
