According to police, 25-year-old Tanelius Pennington fled from the scene when they arrived at the Winn-Dixie on Beach Blvd. and St. Johns Bluff Rd., leaving a six-month-old and two-year-old inside the car.
Concerned citizens alerted police to the young children inside of the car Tuesday afternoon. When police searched the vehicle, they found drugs.
Pennington is wanted for child abuse and possession of drugs.
