Tanelius Pennington left his two young kids in car with drugs while he shopped

According to police, 25-year-old Tanelius Pennington fled from the scene when they arrived at the Winn-Dixie on Beach Blvd. and St. Johns Bluff Rd., leaving a six-month-old and two-year-old inside the car.

Concerned citizens alerted police to the young children inside of the car Tuesday afternoon. When police searched the vehicle, they found drugs.

Pennington is wanted for child abuse and possession of drugs.

Looks like Tanelius bailed all his buddys out of jail. He must be Cassie & Kyle's drug dealer. He has quite the arrest record, Maybe this time they will keep him behind bars for a while.

Pennington is wanted for child abuse and possession of drugs.

Police say Pennington tried to cover his tracks by calling friends telling them to call and report the car stolen. Cassie Matos and Kyle Guthman were arrested for filing a false police report.

The mother of the children, Kristin Flowers, is also behind bars. Flowers has been charged with child neglect. The children are safe with relatives. The Department of Children & Families is investigating the case as well.
