Amy Melissa "Missy" Carter, 34, was arrested as she was hiding inside her father's Pierce County home, Ware County Sheriff Randy Royal said Friday.

Carter is charged with criminal solicitation to commit aggravated battery, criminal solicitation to commit murder, aggravated battery and conspiracy to commit a crime.

The charges arose from an April 15 assault in which Kurt "Danny" Beecher was beaten on rural Gooding Bay Road west of Waycross and left bleeding and battered in a water-filled ditch. He was treated at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross for the injuries and released, Royal said.

An investigation showed that Carter took Beecher to the remote location in her vehicle.

There she met with three men: her brother William Henry "Bubba" Dial Jr., 38, of Waycross; David Russell, 32, of Jesup; and Michael Simpson, 31, of Jesup, Royal said.

The two Jesup men are accused of beating Beecher and then fleeing with Dial in his vehicle. Dial is charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, and Russell and Simpon with single counts of aggravated battery, Royal said.

Beecher and Carter had never been married but were engaged in a dispute over custody of their daughter.

Royal said Carter had accused Beecher with having a sexual relationship with their child, who lived with her in Macclenny. When questioned by Ware County detectives, both Beecher and the girl have repeatedly denied the allegations, Royal said.

In her investigation of Beecher's beating, detective Rebecca Lawrence turned up a conspiracy to solicit someone to kill Beecher, dismember his body and set his remains on fire, all for $3,000, Royal said.

No deal to kill Beecher was every finalized, and Carter is accused of paying a lower amount to have Beecher beaten, Royal said.

Royal confirmed that money had exchanged hands, but he declined to say how much.http://www.jacksonville.com/news/georgia/2009-05-09/story/macclenny_woman_is_accused_of_wanting_daughters_fa ther_dead
