He asked who wanted to die first. Then -- having raped his cousin and shot three people -- Delano Horn sent a text message to a relative saying, "They all dead. Ha ha ha," prosecutors alleged Friday.
Horn, 21, is charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault and three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm for the Jan. 17 attack. Judge Adam Bourgeois ordered him held without bail Friday.
According to Assistant State's Attorney Nancy Wilder, Horn broke into a home in the 5500 block of South Justine because "he was mad at his cousin for telling his girlfriend that he was having a baby with another woman."
Horn went to the room where his cousin and her boyfriend were sleeping, held a gun to his cousin's head and told her he would shoot her boyfriend if she woke him, Wilder said. He then raped his cousin in two different rooms.
He shot his cousin in the face and arm, her boyfriend in the chest and belly and his own ex-girlfriend in the hip and side.
All three victims spent several weeks in the hospital but survived and identified Horn as the assailant, Wilder said. He also allegedly admitted his role in the attack to detectives and prosecutors.
