Scott Boie, the Air Force airman on trial for the murder of his unborn baby, was found not guilty of intentionally killing an unborn child late Friday night.

But the jury -- made up of 10 members of the Air Force, called panel members -- did find Boie guilty of attempting to kill an unborn child. He faces a maximum sentence of 26 1/2 years and a dishonorable discharge.

Boie asked his wife to have an abortion in the early weeks of her pregnancy. Caylinn Boie refused and later miscarried. Evidence introduced at the court-martial showed a Google search for "at home abortion methods.

Scott Boie's best friend, Ryan Bollinger, said Boie found a drug online called Misoprostol, used for stomach ulcers and known to cause miscarriages.

Caylinn Boie said she didn't know of her husband's alleged plan to terminate the pregnancy.

On the stand, Bollinger said he helped Scott Boie lace food with the drug and give it to his wife.

Scott Boie threw his hands in the air in celebration when he heard the verdict.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Saturday morning.

Ryan Bollinger testified because he was given immunity

An airman stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base stands trial, accused of killing his unborn child.

Airman 1st Class Scott Boie's court martial began Tuesday.

Boie is accused of secretly drugging his pregnant wife with Misotropol, a drug used for non-medical abortions, in the early weeks of her pregnancy.

Boie is also charged with vehicle theft and arson.

His trial is expected to last all week.

A court-martial is under way in Alaska for an airman on charges he laced his wife's food with ulcer medication to force her to miscarry.

Airman 1st Class Scott Boie of Milton, Wis., is charged with assault and causing the death of the unborn child.

Boie's wife, Caylinn, testified he asked her to get an abortion when he found out about the pregnancy last year. She taped a conversation with him in which he allegedly tried to persuade her to induce an abortion.

Boie's attorneys say his wife's history of smoking and troubled pregnancies may have caused the miscarriage last year.

An Elmendorf Air Force Base spokesman, Master Sgt. Demetrius Lester, says the maximum sentence for causing the death of an unborn child is life without possibility of parole.

If you don't want to have a baby with your WIFE then get a vasectomy. If I found out my husband had done this I would have killed him dead.

Or used a condom, spermicide, abstain from sex? No, instead jackass did what he wanted and didn't want to deal with it so he again only thought of his own wants. Fucker. If my husband pulled this fuck going to the cops I'd take care of my own wants too, and take his life.
