Texas --Police in The Colony are searching for a man accused of using his MySpace account to download child pornography.
Police in The Colony have issued an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Jordan Ward. He is wanted for the possession or promotion of child pornography.
According to police records, late last year MySpace.com officials alerted authorities that one of their users uploaded child pornography to their profile. The pornography "depicted nine young girls between the approximate ages of 10 through 13 engaged in... intercourse with an older unknown male," according to documents.
Police investigated and tracked the profile to Ward's home in The Colony. The old profile had been taken down, but Ward put up a new page. Police searched the home and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Ward's father said he did not want to comment about the allegations, but did say it has been hard on the family. He also said his son is not in the country.
A former neighbor of Ward said she never expected him to be involved in something like this. "As far as I knew they were a good family," said Eudelia Saenz. "If something happened to Jordan, it was when he grew up... His mother and dad are respectful, church-going people."
Saenz said she has known Ward's family for twenty years. "It surprises me. It really does," she said.
