42 year-old Julie Bronson faces two counts of intoxication assault and two counts of failure to stop and render aid after allegedly hitting a mother and her two daughters in their yard in the Roger’s Ranch neighborhood with her Mercedes convertible.
Tracy Lopez was discharged from the hospital and her three year-old daughter suffered only minor injuries, but 18-month old Ava Lopez remains in critical condition at University Hospital.
"I saw the entire impact and the three victims were thrown and hit up against the fence," said Jennifer Wiedenhaefer, a neighbor and friend of the Lopez family.
Ava's injuries are severe and they don't know if she'll make it. I know I shouldn't be shocked at these anymore but I still am that people will drink and drive.
