God forbid this guy ever won an Oscar. There's no telling what he'd do when the music cue let him know his time was up.
A Hesperia gadfly who also ran for county supervisor was convicted of creating a disturbance at two San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors meetings last year.
Bob Nelson, 72, of Hesperia, was convicted of two misdemeanor counts Wednesday in San Bernardino County Superior Court following a two-day jury trial.
It’s the third time Nelson, a retired Democrat who ran for 1st District supervisor last year and in 2004, has been convicted on such charges, according to court records.
The latest charges result from Nelson’s refusal to leave the podium at May 13 and June 17 meetings last year. Nelson faces additional charges from another arrest at a June 24 meeting.
Nelson, whose court records show he served jail time for similar convictions in 1998 and 2004, has opposed the county’s rules that restrict speakers to three minutes.
The court has scheduled Nelson’s sentencing for May 14.
