This one's lots of fun:

They say geography is destiny, but perhaps it is damnation as well.

We have unveiled the American city that has fallen the farthest from grace in each of the seven deadly sins ( lust, gluttony, avarice, sloth, wrath, envy and pride). For each sin we stretched our imagination to find a workable proxy--murder rates for wrath, per capita billionaires for avarice--then culled the available data sources to rank the cities. Some of the results were surprising: Salt Lake City as America's Vainest City. Some were not: Detroit as America's Most Murderous.

Click on this link to get to Forbes' interactive map. (http://www.forbes.com/2008/02/14/cities-sinful-lander-forbeslife-cx_lm_0213sinful_land.html?feed=rss_popstories) This map will show you the worst cities by sin. The page also features the full articles associated with each sin.

Seattle ranked near the top with greed, envy and lust. What about yours?

Number 1s:

Lust - Denver, CO

Greed - San Jose/Sunnyvale/Santa Clara, CA

Envy - Memphis, Tenn.

Wrath - Detroit, MI

Gluttony - Memphis, Tenn.

Sloth - Memphis, Tenn.

Pride - Salt Lake City, UT

Memphis topped out in 3 categories?!

Edit: aspartame, that is some clever wit you display.

Cleveland didn't make the wrath list? That doesn't seem right. I swear the city is top 10 for murder.

Yeah...I was planning a trip to Memphis for when I get my braces off. I've missed ribs terribly, and can't think of a better place to get them (and polish my own skills).

I think I'll make it a short trip. @_@

If I remember correctly, they have a famous rib place right in the airport. You can get off the plane, eat, and then hop on another one back home...or on to your next destination. :D

lol, not THAT short. :p I gotta stick around some; I need tricks of the trade that can only come from a southerner. My rib skills are as developed as they can be this far north and in this white an area. Actually, that's not true. A black man once told me I cooked like his grandma back in Alabama. It was the best compliment ever paid to me. I must be reincarnated. Still, there must be something I can gain, and it'll require some investigation.

Here where I'm from we are ranking 10 in Wrath and Lust, I would have guessed gluttony but I was wrong!
