Teen accused of sexual assault on child

PALM BAY—A 16-year-old boy is in custody today after police said he forced a child staying at a friend’s home to perform a sex act.
The boy, whose name is not being released by FLORIDA TODAY because of his age, was charged with sexual battery on a child under 12 after the 7-year-old told a guardian that she had been molested, Palm Bay police reported.

At 16, you know better. His identity should not be protected. He committed a felony.
