MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -- Murfreesboro police have charged a man with stealing chains from a swing set at the home where an infant was killed by a tornado.

Police spokesman Kyle Evans says 50 year-old Mark Miller was spotted by officers and witnesses taking the chains and loading other scrap metal from the yard at Haynes Drive and Sulphur Springs Road into his truck on Thursday.

The owner of the property is John Bryant, whose wife, Kori, and 9 week-old daughter, Olivia, were killed in the tornado a week ago.

Police charged Miller for theft under $500. He is being held on a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court June 18.

Evans said this has been the only looting case following the tornado that ripped through Murfreesboro, causing millions of dollars in damage.

Why does he look so damn pleased with himself for basically looting a gravesite? Ugh. Glad I'm far away from Murfreesboro.

Murfreesboro, Tenn. -- A tornado killed a woman and her 9-week-old infant and injured dozens Friday in central Tennessee as a line of storms lifted homes, ripped off roofs and dumped hail in the Southeast.

A tornado also touched down in southwestern Kentucky, injuring two people and destroying homes. A possible tornado was reported in northeast Alabama and large hail fell in North Carolina.

The dead were identified as Kori Bryant, in her mid-20s, and 9-week-old Olivia Bryant. They may have been trying to get in a car -- both were found outside their home, and the infant was in a car seat, rescue official Randy White said.

Friday afternoon, search teams fanned out across Murfreesboro, a city of about 100,500, looking for anyone trapped in homes. In the midst of tragedy this fucker is there stealing remnants of things that made up their home. People make me sick, often I just want to punch their face....that smirk, right the fuck off is an example.

What a sight that must have been to find mama and baby beside one another like that....a moment that would take my breath away, no doubt.

Rest in peace Mama Kori and baby Olivia. May you find one another in the heavens.

Not to be nit-picky, but isn't Kyle Evans the police spokesman? And the asshole's name is Mark Miller?
