21-year-old William Marks is charged with attempted forcible rape, attempted forcible sodomy, and three other crimes.
The woman reporting the crimes told police that marks tried to hold her down and assault her.
She says that when she escaped, Marks held a knife to her child's throat and demanded that she have sex with him.

On April 13, the Fulton Police Department received a report of a sexual assault that had allegedly occurred the day before.
According to an FPD press release, the alleged victim told officers that William E. Marks, 21, attempted to force her to have sex with him, and when she refused, held her down and attempted to sodomize her.
The woman was able to get away, but claims Marks knocked her down, grabbed her child and held a knife to the child, demanding sex in exchange for not hurting the child.
After further investigation, Marks was taken into custody Thursday on charges of attempted forcible rape, attempted forcible sodomy, third degree domestic assault, endangering the welfare of a child and armed criminal action. He was taken to the Callaway County Jail with bond set at $130,000.
An order of child protection was issued against him on Monday.
Lt. Andre Cook claimed the attack occurred in the victim's home, where “(Marks) sometimes cohabits.”
He said the alleged victim was not injured, and he was not aware of any previous domestic disputes at her home.
