A man from Staten Island's St. George community left his mentally disabled son naked outside while he had sex with his girlfriend, then beat his estranged wife when she arrived at his home to pick the boy up, police said.

At the end of the sordid affair yesterday morning, police charged 38-year-old Walter Newby and his girlfriend, Chauncie Scott, 27, with multiple counts of assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to court documents, Newby was supposed to be taking care of his 14-year-old son, who is "severely developmentally disabled," while his estranged wife, Jamella Pender-Newby, was working.

But when Ms. Pender-Newby arrived at the West Brighton apartment where Ms. Scott lives at 8:30 a.m. to pick up her son, she found him wandering outside, wearing only a diaper.

An irate Ms. Pender-Newby went inside the apartment, where she found Newby and Ms. Scott "engaging in sexual intercourse," police sources said. When she confronted the two, Newby jumped up and began punching her in the face, knocking her to the floor. Ms. Scott joined in, and the two continually punched and kicked her, police said.

At some point, Newby bit his estranged wife on left cheek until she bled, according to court documents.

"Get the [expletive] out of my house or I'll kill you," Newby allegedly threatened, sending the woman running from the home.

The scuffle ended when Ms. Pender-Newby called police.

She suffered minor injuries from the skirmish. The boy did not suffer any physical harm, police said.

Newby and Ms. Scott face misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child, endangering the welfare of an incompetent person, third-degree assault and attempted assault and second-degree harassment.

They could spend up to a year in jail if convicted.

Go past that then. The entire Island is not a ghetto. West Brighton near Forest Avenue is pretty nice. Near the water where the junkyards are is not so great. There are definitely some sketchy parts but not the entire island

I just call it like I see it. I don't get around Staten Island much and I wasn't saying Staten Island as a whole is a ghetto. I said "the ghettos of NYC" and Staten Island is part of NYC, so the ghettos of Staten Island... should have clarified a bit better.

My fiance lives in St. George, and just last night I was walking my dogs and a dude had his girlfriend by the hair, beating her ass, she got away, he pulled out a gun and started chasing her down the street. I called the cops, who never showed up btw... 3 hours later, I saw some 20ish year old kid walking in the middle of Victory Blvd, wasted out of his mind, almost get smoked by a bus. Maybe our definitions of ghetto are different, but that's ghetto to me.

Regardless of where it occurred, the fact remains that the sperm donator put his nearly naked disabled child into the rain so that he could get his rocks off. Pathetic. Lucky it wasn't me that showed up. Had that been my child, would of been the last boner the loser ever had.
