What a moron. Seriously, did he not think this would land him in hot water? Steven doesn't strike me as too bright.

PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y.-Police say a Long Island gymnastics coach has been arrested and fired after giving a 14-year-old student a bottle of rum, apparently as a reward for nailing a difficult maneuver. The girl was hospitalized after drinking it.

Suffolk County police say Steven Lamensdorf has been released on $500 bond after his arrest Tuesday on charges of child endangerment and unlawfully dealing with a child.

Police say the 22-year-old gave the teenager the Malibu rum on Friday. She has since been treated and released from a hospital.

Police say Spins Gymnastics Academy, in Port Jefferson, fired Lamensdorf over the incident.

Telephone messages left at the academy and Lamensdorf's Mount Sinai home Tuesday evening haven't immediately been returned. Police aren't sure whether he has a lawyer.

Wow, what a fucking retard. He doesn't look like he's really firing on all cylinders in his mugshot either.

He gave her an entire bottle of rum? How stupid can someone be?

And I thought all coaches wanted their athletes to only eat and drink healthy stuff.

I can't believe he got out on only $500.00 bond, she could have died from alcohol poisoning.

Probably taken a few too many falls off the beam. Good thing she got sick, because I am willing to bet that he had other things planned for her once she was drunk.

Now if you'll excuse me, it was Malibu rum that helped make me so godawful sick on my 20th birthday. There was a lot of hurling. A lot. I get nauseous just thinking about it.

Now that you mention it, I've gotten quite sick from Malibu a couple of times myself. Now I can't really drink anything that smells like coconut without feeling immediately nauseous.

I'm not particularly fond of coconut scented anything. Malibu is high on my list of coconutty things to avoid if I don't want to vomit.

No kidding. We could get kicked of the racing team if we got caught drinking soda. What the hell was he thinking? She's lucky to be alive if she finished that whole bottle herself.

What happened to just a trophy or a 'Good Job' sticker?
