For the past thirty years, police said Louis Levine ran a sex house in his home videotaping dozens of teenagers having sex for his homemade pornography collection.
Neighbors have always had an interest in the Levine home in west Nashville, long before police discovered it was a sex house.
We have reaction from those who knew Levine and why some aren't shocked to hear a pornography charge attached to the Levine name.
"They always had sheets on the windows. It was just eerie," said neighbor Peggy Phillips.
Morris Levine, a well known attorney, Metro councilman and philanthropist lived in the home for decades.
For decades, police said the Levine family held an annual Halloween party - so large that cars lined the street.
The parties had quite a reputation for their goodie bags. The children got bags of candy. The women had bags of their own.
"It was Family Circle, Parenting and Women's Day," said Michelle Nowell.
Then there was the so called "Daddy Bag."
"Alcohol, Hustler magazine, a condom or two," said attorney Fletcher Long.
The parties attracted hundreds, including local attorneys like Long who said the bags were just an accepted part of the Levine party.
For newcomers like Michelle Nowell it was quite a shock. When she got home, her 4-year-old son dumped out all the contents, spilling out candy, treats and hard core pornography.
"It was graphic. It was just really, really unspeakable," said Nowell.
The Daddy Bag tradition continued with few questions asked. Since it wasn't illegal there were no criminal charges. In light of Louis Levine's federal pornography charges and allegations of sexual abuse of children, the bags suddenly have another meaning.
The Daddy Bag tradition apparently continued outside the home as well.
The Fraternal Order of Police president said Louis Levine volunteered at their camp for several years. He said Morris often came along and gave "Daddy Bags" to the camp counselors and officers and bags with candy to the kids.
The FOP said they did not condone or let the children see the bags. Louis Levine never had any opportunities to be alone with any children during his time at the camp.
Levine is still in federal custody on child pornography charges. Other charges will likely follow when the case is presented to the grand jury.
