A Framingham father and son were arrested on Thursday after police said they assaulted each other hours apart.
Dean J. Morrill, 47, was arrested at 5:55 p.m. after his 16-year-old son accused him of slapping him while they were driving, police Lt. Ronald Brandolini said.
Morrill, of 107 Nob Hill Drive, was driving his son home from the police station, after he had the boy arrested for assaulting him at 3:39 p.m., Brandolini said.
Police first went to 107 Nob Hill Drive around 3:30 p.m. after Morrill said his son was "out of control," the lieutenant said.
At one point, the boy, who was not named because of his age, tried to leave and his father stepped in his way to prevent him from leaving.
"He shoved his father in the chest and left," Brandolini said.
Police arrested the boy and charged him with assault and battery.
