Authorities removed three children and arrested two adults from an Evansville home where methamphetamine was discovered, according to an Evansville Police Department probable cause affidavit.
Angel M. Pitsonbarger, 27, and Bryan A. Payne, 30, are both facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and neglect of a dependent. Both suspects were booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail and then released after posting $1,000 bonds.
Acting on an anonymous complaint, investigators descended on 2422 N. Fares Avenue late Friday night.
A search turned up a small amount of methamphetamine in a dresser and an AR-15 rifle in a bedroom where three children - ages 7, 8 and 12 - were playing, police said.
Two of the children were placed with relatives while Child Protective Services took custody of the other.
Police say Pitsonbarger and Payne admitted using meth and that the drugs found in the home belonged to them.
