A man arrested for allegedly constructing and running a meth lab was arrested again on aggravated child abuse charges after his three-year-old son's urine tested positive for amphetamines, opiates, and ecstasy.
An investigation by the Department of Children and Families revealed that 34-year-old David Weaver took the child into the meth lab where Charlotte County sheriff's detectives say he manufactured Methamphetamines.
Detectives met with the child’s mother who said Weaver took the boy into the garage and then called her to come get their son because he couldn’t get any work done.
She said that was around February 15.
The mother went to the garage and when she opened the door, smelled a very strong odor of ammonia coming from the area where she found the boy.
The mother took the child out into fresh air and away from the garage. She said the child was coughing later that night
I'm trying to find more info. The stupid mother didn't seem too concerned about the child being around that. The article doesn't say if he was taken from them.
