Another baby shaking penis. He gave this poor kid complete skull fractures!
Officer James Parker told deputies the child fell and hit her head on a table, but after examination, doctors said the child appeared to have been injured intentionally.
The child was taken to All Children's Hospital in Pinellas County, where she remains in critical condition.
According to Highlands County Sheriff Susan Benton, the girl had a complete fracture of the right side, left side and rear portion of her skull.

He was involved in a fight on New Year's Day..http://www2.highlandstoday.com/content/2009/mar/11/120954/jury-deciding-verdict-new-years-eve-brawl/news/
SEBRING - A Highlands County jury began deliberating late Wednesday afternoon at the conclusion of the trial of three people charged in a 2008 Avon Park New Year's Eve brawl that involved police officers.
Sue Emma Diaz, 45, and Pete Diaz, 45, both of 904 W. State St., Avon Park, and Michael Duane Davis, 25, of Lehigh Acres, were each charged with battery on a law enforcement officer.
Off-duty officer James Parker came to the home to stop the argument. At that time, the suspects allegedly began hitting him and yelling profanities, with Sue Diaz also jumping on the officer's back and causing the two to fall to the ground.
Erica Diaz believed it was Parker who, in fact, started the fight. That was one of the issues brought up in closing arguments Wednesday by the attorneys.
"It was her (Sue Diaz) who initiated it and her who started it," said Assistant State Attorney Richard Castillo. "This is a man who has spent eight years or so in law enforcement, and he's going to go where there's a house full of people having a party, where there is anywhere from three to five people by the car and he's going to go right in front of them … and take a lady of 45 years and right in front … and dump the lady on the ground so he can throw his eight years of a law enforcement career … away?"
Well, based on what he is now accused of, yeah I do believe this asshole doesn't really give damn about his LE career.

At last report, the baby is still listed in very critical condition after undergoing surgery at All Children's Hospital in Pinellas County. Doctors said the baby suffered from injuries that resulted from the use of extremely high force on her head.
....
According to Highlands County Sheriff Susan Benton, the girl had a complete fracture of the right side, left side and rear portion of her skull.

Sounds like Parker took the little girl to the hospital...seriously, how many people would do this if they were the ones who harmed the child. What I want to know is how long was the child in his care before this happened...meaning, don't these type of injuries surface after days or hours of happening? And bruising...this doesn't happen immediately. I wouldn't be so quick to assume he did it...I want to know what type of mother is in the picture and what happened when she was with the little girl.
Benton also stated that Parker stated that the child fell and hit her head on a table. But after an examination, Dr. Sally Smith and the Department of Child and Family Services advised that the child appeared to have been injured intentionally.
Wow, this commentator has failed to notice that this loser claims the child fell and injured her self. If nothing happened to the baby during the time of his caring for her, he would have been perplexed with her condition and said she not once was injured by fall or other trauma and couldn't explain the onset of injuries. But his story even changes several times...yeah, I would look at him first before ever considering the mother.
To blame the mother when she wasn't even there is crazy. And these types of injuries show signs of trauma pretty damn quick. Severe contusions that causes fractures would show bruising almost immediately, the swelling could take a bit longer but baby would clearly be in distress.
I hope this fuctard gets the book thrown at him. I'm sure mama was thinking he's an officer and all, surely I can trust him....damn, so sad she was wrong.
Heal completely little one.

Parker was also arrested in June 26, 2004 on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge involving his former wife. He entered into a diversion program and the States Attorney's Office eventually deferred prosecution. His ass should've been fired then.
Parker, then 27, was reinstated in late July 2004 after completing a two-day suspension without pay, according to former Police Chief Frank Mercurio in a previous report.
When Parker attended his arraignment on July 19, 2004, his ex wife withdrew charges, Mercurio said.
A deferred prosecution agreement was signed in lieu of Parker attending an anger management program for 12 weeks. All criminal charges were dismissed after he successfully completed the class.
I guess that program didn't work. Bah!

AVON PARK - The young child who Avon Park Police Officer James Parker allegedly injured died this morning.
Major Mark Schrader, with the Highlands County Sheriff's Office, said the victim passed away at approximately 9:38 a.m.
The child's death comes more than three weeks after attorney Richard Pipkin, speaking on behalf of the victim's mother, said she was going to take her daughter off life support. She suffered skull fractures from two or three blows to the head.
Parker was arrested March 29 and charged with aggravated child abuse for allegedly hurting the then-20-month-old child of his former live-in girlfriend.
He could wind up facing first-degree murder charges as a result of the child's death.http://www2.highlandstoday.com/content/2009/may/27/child-allegedly-injured-cop-dies/

Thanks for the update, Special.
I am so sad to read she died. Poor baby. I can't imagine having to make the decision to remove life support.
Kaedyn Short passed away at 9:38 a.m. at a hospice home where she was being cared for in her final days, according to a Highlands County Sheriff's Office press release.
From Special's link. Hospice workers are a special kind of people, I am sure this is tearing them up, too.

A total of FOUR people have been arrested.
http://i41.tinypic.com/avifb6.jpg
James H. Parker III, former Avon Park Police Officer, was indicted late Wednesday afternoon, charged with first degree murder stemming from the death of 22-month-old Kaedyn Short.
The Highlands County grand jury also charged Short's mother, Jenifer Sue Short, 28, Sebring, with not reporting child abuse, and failure to secure medical services/ failure to protect a child from child abuse.
"After hearing a days worth of evidence (the grand jury) indicted not only Parker for murder but Ms. Short for two things," said Steve Houchin of the State Attorney's Office. "The second charge is a combination, medical services that should have been and for the child abuse."
Houchin said he was not surprised Short was indicted as well, saying the evidence is "certainly significant."
[...]
There were at least two other arrests made in the case on Wednesday, including Sara Vasquez, 25, of Zolfo Springs and Linda Payne, 39, of Sebring.
Payne and Vasquez were indicted on charges of failure to report child abuse. According to a Highlands County Sheriff's Office press release, they are day care workers where the infant attended day care.

Fucking A, this is how it should go down! All who are responsible in any way for this baby's death have been charged. I'm hoping for convictions all the way around. That poor baby fought for 2 month to overcome an essentially crushed skull. RIP, sweet baby girl.

Just put him in general pop. Him being a cop and a child killer, the cons will save the taxpayers some cash.
