One of these reports states the baby was abandoned in a parking lot; another says she was placed in the roadway. The second report (from the Dallas News Crime Blog) says that she cursed and yelled at the baby while she was walking away.
According to police, 29-year-old Edwina Donnell abandoned the girl in the 5000 block of Lancaster Road on Saturday night.
Shortly after the child was found in the lot, officers arrested Donnell and charged her with child abandonment and endangerment.
The toddler was taken to a local hospital for a check up and then returned to her family members.
Donnell is not the child's mother but she does have children in foster care, according to Child Protective Services.
