View Full Version : Elijah Huff Autistic Man Missing From Westmoreland Co. Care Home

YOUNGWOOD, Pa. -- State police are looking for a man with a form of autism who walked away from a personal care home in western Pennsylvania.

State police in Greensburg said the missing man is 28-year-old Elijah Huff.

Huff was last seen at the Whitehead Personal Care Home in Youngwood at about 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

Huff is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 210 pounds, with red hair, a red beard and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a winter camouflage jacket, white T-shirt with a flag pattern, blue jeans and brown boots.

Police said Huff has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism and that he may run away if he's approached by someone he doesn't know.

Police said he has walked away from the home in the past and gone several miles without asking for a ride.

State police in Greensburg are asking anyone with information to contact police.

I believe they will find him. People with Asperger's syndrome are actually very intelligent and very very manipulative and can be very resourceful

Murrysville police this morning safely returned a man with a form of autism who had walked away from a personal care home in Youngwood.

Police said Elijah Huff was spotted at about 7:15 a.m. walking along Route 22, near Watson Chevrolet. They said he was in excellent shape and was returned to the Youngwood home without incident.http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09077/956457-100.stm
