14 year old killed by a hit and run driver

I just got home from attending his wake. They have the car in impound, it was found in the guys driveway but as of yet NO ARREST has been made...this family has endured so much, as they lost there mother as well a few years back. And I feel for the childs friend who was with him he will live with that forever. I hope justice comes swift and hard for this POS....

Just a few more articles...with more information. They know who did it and they let him go to fucking rehab instead of arresting him! Maybe because I know the family but this makes my blood boil....this waste of flesh killed a child, didn't even stop....and he's not being held accountable.....fucking Bristol Police Dept...this sadly does NOT surprise me!


Police say the man who drove the white Chevrolet pickup truck that struck and killed 14-year-old Henry Waye on George Street Thursday evening was drinking, but they probably won’t make an arrest for months.

Lt. Kevin Morrell said it will take that long to assemble the forensic, medical and other evidence necessary to bring charges against the hit-and-run driver they refused to identify Friday..........At the time, Waye and a friend, Logan Costante, were walking their bikes uphill on the east side of the street, facing traffic, Lt. Edward Spyros said.

The truck was heading in the same direction, so it apparently crossed over into the downhill lane before striking Waye. Costante wasn’t hit.

The driver kept going. Frantic neighbors called the police.

Spyros said police located the truck in “the George Street area” about 45 minutes later. It took another half an hour to find the driver, Morrell said.

He was apparently drinking.

Mayor Art Ward said police told him that the driver was intoxicated and suicidal when police found him. They took him to Bristol Hospital, the mayor said.

BRISTOL - Police on Monday arrested Robert Park, 44, and charged him second degree manslaughter, negligent homicide, driving under the influence of alcohol and several other crimes in regard to the March 5 fatal hit-run of 14-year-old Henry Waye Jr.

The accident occured on George Street and the suspect vehicle, a Chevrolent pickup, fled the scene. The Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team handled the three-month investigation to identify the vehicle involved and the person operating it at the time of the accident.
